Morning all,
Has anyone got the BPM of the Hermle 340-020 movement?
The one that I have just serviced is running about 30mins fast in 1 hour...lol.
Any thoughts on this?

Hi,

Thanks for the comment. I found that the balance was sticking and only doing about 180deg. if that. Put a new wire in the balance and it is going great guns.

Andy,

When running well the rate will be very stable at the 9000 BPH rate. The ongoing up and down variance is usually within 8999 and 9001. Short term variances outside this usually spell a problem somewhere.

+ or - 25%, yep you've got a serious problem there.

How did you determine that the balance was sticking? Was it visible?

Thanks RC, I saw that after I posted. Reckon I jumped the gun.
I've got a 340 here and an A403, that both run but no more than maybe 160° rotation.
Think I'm about ready to recommend new movements for both of them. Tired of fighting it.
