I need to regulate the Hermle 340-020 balance. Is this a floating balance?
Anyway, how is this balance regulated?

Kind of depends on what kind of regulation you're talking about. If it's speed, there is only minor adjustment at the top of the wheel. "+" for faster, "-" for slower. If you're talking rotation, it's a whole different ball game. Please explain what you want to change so we can help more :)

We need to know if you are referring to a newer movement or an older movement. Two different types of balances were used, with different regulating procedures.

Fred, do you know the original poster, and are you referring to his clock?
The newer type with a hairspring has a screw adjustment with + and - indications to tell you which way to turn it. Clockwise is faster. A full turn has a rate change of 60-80 seconds per day. Yours is made in 1995 (letter H), and should have the newer style.
