Can anyone help me please to identify the maker of this Falcon pocket watch
movement.

When I first saw this I tought Omega but so far I cannot find and calibre
that matches, many similar.

Checking the Falcon name has so far found 5 possibles and 3 have been
eliminated because of year of formation (too young)

The 2 that are left are

Montres Falcon SA, Biel, Switzerland and Rolex SA who had a Falcon brand name.

The movment is 42mm in diameter measured with a tape so approx.

Any help or guidance would be great, thank you

According to the Mikrolisk trademark database, Rolex didn't register their Falcon mark until 1940, so, realistically, it can't be them, but it still leaves Montres. It just so happens a LOT of imported movements seem to come from Biel. Clearly with all of the English written on the movement (including the F(ast)/S(low) on the adjustment index) this was made for the US market. A good guess is about as close as you can usually come with Swiss makers, I'm afraid. Probably from the period of 1890-1910 I would guess.

There are 3 more
Bulova, Dux and Gruen - all used the name Falcon.
Unfortunately neith Microlisk (outstanding source of info) or Kathleen's book gives us a trademark!

Thank you both a big help, the dates suggested are intriguing and even more makers with the brand name.

I did try to find a copy of the Falcon logo so far no success. Here it is the "right" way up I hope to save bendy necks.

Falcon was registered also by Louis Müller & Cie. from Bienne, the hometown of Omega. The registration took place on January 13, 1920 and specified "fabrication of watches, parts, cases and boxes". Unfortunately, it does not show the mark, just a description. Louis Müller is best known for very early wristwatches. I believe the falcon from the watch belonged to Louis Müller who got the movement from a neighbor.
