    Hi all,

I wonder if anyone could help me identify a couple of Swiss movements please?

    One is a 16 or 17-jewel 3/4 plate...with a System Glashutte style escape-wheel chaton.
It's a familiar plate layout but I can't seem to link it to any particular manufacturer. I've also seen it before
in 15-jewel form, but without the "Glashutte" style fitting.

The other movement is stamped with the name EXACT. I looked it up on Mikrolisk, and that particular version of the EXACT trademark is associated with M Schepperheyn/Hugo Schepperheyn. However I'm unable to find any information on the latter, so I suspect it just relates to a dealer/retailer. The EXACT mark is also shown inside the case

Any help would be appreciated :)

    Thanks,
    Piers

IN 1928 Hugo Schepperheyn's letterhead described the company as a Taschenuhren-Fabrik (pocket watch factory). Whilst I suppose this does not confirm 100% that he made the movement, it does seem to imply that they did at least some of the work.

System Glashutte: difficult to know who did it. usually they were on the FHF mainplate. and many watchmakers have used it, among others the successors of Audemars.
the second movement is from the Phenix watch co.
    regards enrico

Well well well, that is very true knowledge Enrico, so after looking at your post I took out my only German pocket watch. It would appear they worked with the Swiss hand in hand. Please see below. Piers, I did say the truth would be in the case.;)

Just a question, what size is that (probably) fhf movement?
I have several similar ones of different sizes with the glashütte style potence and hidden pallet jewels. I've found a few on Dr. Ranfft's site that are similar but are the wrong sizes.
