help with clock maker and dating

    I just got nice electro magnetic clock with glass dome. There are ATO logo on front of the movement and serial number on the back (150339). Any information about the clock would be very interesting. Thank you and best regards

    I'd not seen this one before. It is an ATO clock as it says.
    Most likely made in France. It looks similar to Kundo's clock
    that used the ATO drive design.
    These clocks used a germanium transistor that was only made
    from the late 1950's to early 1970's. After that, quartz movements
    replaced this type of pendulum clock. If you move it from place
    to place, don't forget to lock the pendulum or you'll damage the
    suspension spring ( note thumb screw at center bottom ).
