Hi, I recently purchased a swiss?!? verge fusee pocket watch. It wasn't working but a night well spend cleaning and it now runs for the full length of the chain. (I'll never get tired of hearing a watch tick again after working on it.....)

Anyway, I was hoping someone might be able to shed some light the watch, I'm quite curious to know how old it is. The movement, case and dial have Duchene A Geneve marked on them. This is the only markings other than the 'AF' and the number '7' on the inside rear of the silver case.

    Can anyone help?

    Thanks

    Geoff

There are a few Duchene's listed from Geneva.. Louis would probably fit this watch..he was active 1790 - 1820.. The Chararistics of this watch would fit that time frame..one different feature is the winding from the back side.. usually Swiss fusees would thru the dial..
