I recently got this Henry Coehler at a regional...it's basically a Kundo. Plate 1227A. I've never seen this kind of pendulum lock feature before. There's a lever jutting out the back. I can slide it in and out. I suspect that it is supposed to raise and lower something in the center of the guide cup, but nothing happens when I do that.

Does anyone have some helpful hints as to what I need to do? I'm trying to free up the pendulum and check the clock out.

    Thanks...Kurt

    Kurt,

I believe turning the lever should raise and lower the pendulum cup.

It may not be assembled correctly.

    Eric -

That was it...but whodda thunk it! It was a little stiff but I eventually was able to lower the center of the cup.

    Thanks...Kurt
