• Upcoming updates
Over the next couple of weeks we will be performing software updates on the forum. These will be completed in small steps as we upgrade individual software addons. You might occasionally see a maintenance message that will last a few minutes at most.

If we anticipate an update will take more than a few minutes, we'll put up a notice with estimated time.

    Thank you!

Pritchard lists six Berthouds and I can't suggest which of these (if any) made your watch.

The movement is a pretty standard average quality movement, and it probably dates to the 1820-60 period.

Due to this watch being a lever action of 15 jewels I would suggest that the date range is closer to 1870 to 1900. A 15 jewel kw ks watch was a good quality movement since these movements went from 2 jewels upward to 15 at the time. JFL

Just based upon the styling and the finish, I would be inclined to suggest mid 19th century production, so somewhere in the 1850 range, give or take ten years or so.

There was not much change until the late 1800s, so dating watches of this type presents challenges.
