So to my untrained eye this looks pretty good, however somethings have me second guessing. Main thing is that the VII is does not Have Cartier on one arm of the V.

I can see where one might be uncertain about this one. When I looked at this style on the Cartier website, some dials are made without the "Cartier" in the VII's "V". I think I'd have to remove the back to see what's inside, and hope that gives me something certain, especially considering the prices for such watches. Good luck.

Does it have the "Cartier" in the X? I agree - a look at the movement would tell a lot.

That's not a lot of help, is it? I guess they have their reasons for not making an authentication easy without taking it to an authorized dealer.

Western NSW or just this side of the black stump.

Their brand has a lot to protect.

Edit: The photo of the movement came up after I made the above comment.

It isn't even one of Epson's better low grade watches. In my experience, I've changed more of these than most of the quartz movements. It does behove me to wonder why anyone would sully their reputation by selling such movements to any customer.

OK, am I seeing things, or does that last picture show the movement with the dial side of it facing the case back? I'm thinking, hmm...did the OP flip the movement and used the case back for a temporary holder? Then I see that the stem looks to be in place. Color me very corn-fused here. Strange things are happening Mr. Jones; Are they just inside my head?
