this is the front glass of my newly aquired New Haven ktichen clock. It is broken in three big pieces.Unfortunately a previous "restorer" has applied adhesive strips on the painted side of the glass;by removing these,a little of the paint came off.Anyway: I want to reglue the pieces, not to order a new glass.Any sugestions concerning technique or material/special type of glue?TIA

I´ve got a similar stuff made by PATEX,glass glue,I fixed the parts on a fibre board with needles-paint side up-and let the low viscosity stuff run into the cracks. After bonding I took off the surplus with a scalpell.Finaly laquered the glass on both sides with a clear car laquer. The result:not overwelming but acceptable,at least I saved the old original glass.
