• Upcoming updates
Over the next couple of weeks we will be performing software updates on the forum. These will be completed in small steps as we upgrade individual software addons. You might occasionally see a maintenance message that will last a few minutes at most.

If we anticipate an update will take more than a few minutes, we'll put up a notice with estimated time.

    Thank you!

Help me identify this watch please ?

This watch was given to me by a relative. I was told it is very old and it is 14K. The face says Heirloom and Instabloc. The back has a stamp next to the 14K stamp but I cannot identify it. I also looking for the approximate value.

Thank you.

Hello top right home page no appraisals given here.Suggest you go to ebay and look at past sales of a watch similar to yours. It does not look old to me and i cant tell whether you have a quartz or a mechanical watch.
If you post better close up pictures, someone can perhaps id what you have.

Is it possible it says "Incabloc" not "Instabloc"? If so, Incabloc is a trade name for a very common shock protection system and the watch is certainly mechanical. That said I suspect that is no older than 1960's.

Thank you all. I am not really concerned about value. I just wanted to see if was an old watch.

I believe that in this case, Heirloom will prove to be a trade name used by independent jewelers. The watch will most likely be equipped with a Font 59 movement, and was probably produced around 1960, give or take a few years.

Ladies watches in general do not command a great deal of attention from collectors, so their values are generally not as high as comparable men's watches. If the bracelet on this watch is 14K as well as the case, then the vast majority of it's value will be in it's gold content, rather than as a watch.
