Hello! I have this French carriage clock and I do not know who made it, its value and how old it is.

It does not have any markings on the movement or the dial.

If anyone can help me identify it, it would be greatly appreciated!

I can't tell you who made it, but it is a time only movement with a cylinder escapement, probably dating to the late 1800s or early 1900s.

The case has lost much of its gold plating where it has been polished rather than cleaned with a damp cloth. The case and movement are dirty, but would clean up nicely, but finding someone to service a cylinder platform can be tricky these days.

Given that it is time only, dirty and a cylinder escapement means that it is right at the bottom of the scale in terms of price. I don't know where you live, but you can probably look on eBay and see what clocks like this sell near you (just make sure to look at sold listings, not what people are asking).

I just looked on eBay and one sold near me for £53 not working. I bought mine for £20.
