Last week, I was able to buy a circa 1848-1850 Boston Clock Co. Aaron D. Crane Patent Twelve Month torsion clock at a GARAGE SALE!!! You can see photos of it in the "Your Newest Clock Acquisition" forum on this site. My clock has a broken torsion spring that I'm trying to replace. It is about 10.9" long by .02" by .003". Do any of you have ideas as to where I can obtain a similar torsion spring or have one made? Fo those not familiar with Aaron Dodd Crane, he was an American clockmaker credited with inventing the torsion clock, for which he received a US Patent in 1830.
