Any pictures of the watch complete with watch band? I see two spring bar sets of holes and I’m thinking it was a unique band that was supplied with this watch. Thanks in advance. John

It's a driver's watch, meant to be worn on the side of the wrist so the driver could easily see the time with hands on the steering wheel. The two spring bar holes might be there so the owner could choose the length of strap.

Of course! Thank you so much. Don’t quite have it in my possession yet. Just looking at it I’m not sure how to open it yet, should be a fun project! Again, thanks.

Keep us informed on it, please. You don't see one that extremely curved very often. When you get to the point of wearing it, I'll bet you get some comments!

Can do EscapeWheel, although it may be a while. Probably have it re-plated and will look for an expandable band for it. Sure wish I could find original literature on it to try and get something close to what it came with. I’ve not found a single shred on it yet. I’m completely guessing here, but with the shape of the hour and minute hands and the simple lines of the case my best guess is 60’s:???:?

My guess is that the extra springbar holes helped the band sit better on the wrist. The holes near the watch body held the band which, in turn, rested over the second springbar so that the band better followed the curvature of the lugs.-Cort

So I gave that idea literally 3 seconds of thought but dismissed it. Thanks Cort for the info and link!

Won’t run on it’s own, but a few puffs on the balance show that’s fine. The escape wheel must be gummed up as it advanced only a few times while doing so. The mainspring is wound tight so I’m thinking that should be fine with a good cleaning.

Well, it’s back together, running, all be it not the best, but also did not work too much on regulating it. I’m still learning this hobby. Cleaned up the case, buffed out the crystal and put it back together. Decided not to re-plate the case for now. Had this expandable bracelet, put it on just to see how it would work, maybe a proper sized expandable is the way to go!! I’ll wear it around the house for a few days just to see if how I like it on. It bites my wrist a bit, may not be the best fit for me.
