The only information I can make out on one of my antique pocket watches is "cuivre" which I know means copper or brass. Other information found on the watch is the following: "9CT" and "34" ; and then "CUIVRE" with "182734" with the initials "JV". The watch also has a diamond symbol located above the "34" and the "182734". The watch is still in perfect working order. It would be wonderful if someone can steer me in the right direction to find out the approx. age of the watch, and who the potential maker of this watch is... any information would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you so much,

Heather

Heather,
I have a watch with couvre on the dust cover only, and also 9ct on the case itself, mine was tested and is 9c gold, with the dust cover being copper.
But as all have stated a picture would definitely give us a clearer look at the case movement etc.
Bill
