I am being given an oppurtunity to go view and possibly purchase this clock yet find no information as per plaque.

Is someone able to shed some light on this clock and direct me to articles or posts that will give me additional information.

Thanking for responses in advance.

Looks like a nice early eight day striking English Longcase.

If you like it and you want it in your home (for ever and ever),

Buy it.

Does where it came from or when it was make really matter?

No, essentially not, though to find a clockmaker and his work is interesting and makes for discussion when visitors pass comment on ones clock collection.
