    Hi all.
There are no markings that I could see on the plates of this movement.
The cabinet has a New Heaven sticker on the back.
Any information about this movement that you could share?
    What's the year of production?
What's the name of this cabinet style?
There is a hanging wire that I assume is for the alarm, but there seems to be something missing. Any idea what's missing?
    Thanks,

    Carlos

Your New Haven clock is sometimes referred to as a walnut mantel. Yours is time, strike and alarm, with an interesting feature of a between the plate alarm. The wire hanging down is so you can trip the strike if it gets off.

The movement is a 30-hour (one-day) time and strike movement with a built in alarm. New Haven used this movement frequently. The hanging wire seems to be a strike adjustment wire. If the hour struck does not match the hour shown on the clock, you can lift the wire and initiate the strike until the hour struck matches the hour shown on the clock.

The hanging wire coming down diagonally to the lower right corner is for advancing the strike during time setting.

    Hello Carlos,

Unfortunately, you have an Ingraham pendulum on the clock. Tran Duy Ly's picture in his book, New Haven Clocks and Watches, page 330, shows the clock with a "single barrel" pendulum, which is available as a repro from the clock supply companies or an oldie can be had online.

    Jim
