Hello,
Looking for help to identify Vienna Regulator clock. Movement us unsigned, just serial number on back plate. Austrian style mounting bracket and unusual gong .
Best regards

I can’t ID your clock other than to say the keyhole type fixing often suggests Austrian (but not always). What I would say though is it’s been extensively bushed without re-cutting the oil sinks leaving the bushes proud of the oil sinks. If others cannot ID your clock from your existing photos it may help to see the movement with the dial removed. Case may have lost its top (if it ever had one).

Typically Resch marked the serial # on the backplate, the mounting bracket and the top of the pendulum rod which this one has though the movement # differs to the one elsewhere. From recollection Resch mounted the gong on the backplate not the case though that's based on ones I've seen.

I think it should have a pediment.

Thank you for your comments. It is shame to me I did not recognized Resch. The unusual gong mislead me. I think that gong in this clock is not original, installed later. I compared this movement with other Resch movement and they are similar.

I have seen a Resch online that used a rod not a gong, the rod was attached to the case not the movement.
