Help ID Pendulum Stick Bob Signed

Hi all. I have this pendulum Bob in my parts stock. 4 1/2 inch thin brass front over a iron or steel backing. Made for a stick rod of which I have a piece including regulator thread and nut. Trying to ascertain what clock it came off of and was hoping for some input. It does have a manufacturer stamp on the underside which I have pictured. Barely decipherable but it looks like (?) Co. No. 31. Appreciate any help. Thanks

American store regulator would be my guess. Many were made for about 10 years pre
WWI. Many are still in action.
