I picked up a some clock case and dial parts recently. A lot of mostly French ormolu. Majority of it I can ID it's likely application but this one is a question mark and was hoping someone on this forum might have a clue. It's a draped winged cherub prancing in a flower garden. Originally thought it was slivered over brass or bronze but a back side scratch test proved metal all silver in color. Pretty sure not spelter but possibly pewter of actually silver. It has a cut nail integrated into the casting for mounting. Originally there were two but one is broken off. Leads me to believe it was likely mounted on wood. I am leaning toward a Dutch clock but just a guess. Any opinions would be appreciated.
