This thread will provide instructions on how to use the online registration for events in the iMIS System. Logged on members can register for most events online.

The bulk of our events have both an educational and a trading component (the Mart Room). The exception is our Annual Ward Francillon Time Symposium which is a purely educational and social event. The activities in our Mart Room require one to be a current dues paying member of the NAWCC.

Members of an NAWCC Member's family may also participate in Mart Room activities.

There some powerful but subtle tools available to organize the visit of a group of people to an NAWCC event.

In particular the organizer of a group may register both themselves and associates including NAWCC Members and nonmembers both children and adults.

The NAWCC Online Registration system supports individual or group registrations for an event.

Registration consists of registering the member who is entering the registration information (pending checkout). After clicking on the Button to Register you must select the Registration Option. Normally for a single member, this will be Member. Those who are not NAWCC Members may not register themselves for events. The exception is when the event includes an option for New First Time Members to join the association and receive a discount on their registration for the event.

If you have been an NAWCC Member in the past and your membership has lapsed, you will need to have your membership reinstated before you may register for the event. You may do that online, but you may be delayed a day or two while the staff processes the details of your update.

Once the member has registered themselves, they may use the option to register someone else. Clicking on the Register Someone Else button will offer the chance to select who they want to register from their list of existing relationships, or to name a new person. Most often this will be their Spouse/Sig Other or a friend they normally travel with. For some events the price for a spouse registration is less than for other parties. Also spouses are not required to be NAWCC Members to attend events. The third is to register a child under the age of 18 (or whatever age the event specifies) who will be admitted to the event at no charge.

When there are more than one person registered for the event, each person will be eligible to purchase event options, such a a meal or early entry to the event. Normally the primary registrant will purchase tables for the event, but the table purchases may be distributed among the registrants by each buying one or more table rentals.

The early entry option that is offered at some events allows those who have not purchased tables to enter the mart room earlier that the registrants who do not have tables and have not purchased the option.

If a person is accidentally registered for early entry when they have a table or vice versa, an error message is shown to determine which option they wanted to choose.

When all the members of the party have been registered and all the options selected for each of them, the person doing the registrations may check out and pay for what has been purchased with a credit card.

If someone has been entered in error you can correct the error before you checkout with the shopping cart. After you have paid you will need to contact the staff about possible refunds.

Because options belong to the person registered, you need to remove all the options purchased for them before you cancel their registration. If you do not, you may be charged for the option purchases. Once all their optional purchases have been removed, you may go to the checkout page and remove their registration from the list of registrations seen there.

Chapters may provide assistance with the NAWCC Event registration. In particular a person (or persons) designated by the Chapter can collect credit card information from members and register them for the event. In order for this to work with proper oversight, the members should be identified in the chapter roster and the person registering them needs to be associated with that role for the chapter.

The chapter registrar logs in to the NAWCC system and selects the event for registration. When they click on the button labeled "Register Someone Else" they are shown a form with a drop down list containing the names that they may register. The names in the roster are managed by the Chapter Secretary.

NAWCC Business Members with multiple employees may use the same mechanism except using the company roster associated with their company membership.

In either case the registrar will need to provide payment for the items in the registrations.
