• Upcoming updates
Over the next couple of weeks we will be performing software updates on the forum. These will be completed in small steps as we upgrade individual software addons. You might occasionally see a maintenance message that will last a few minutes at most.

If we anticipate an update will take more than a few minutes, we'll put up a notice with estimated time.

    Thank you!

I'm wondering if anyone has record of the BPH for this Jauch WM chime movement. I can't seem to narrow it down in both the Time Trax and The Clockmakers Beat Book. I'm testing at 4023BPH but its too slow.

Markings on the rear plate: (not sure what they might indicate)

Left Side- 77 774 Right side- 289002

Thanks for your help.

Jeff - set your meter to count beats, and disable the strike. Take off the pendulum (if it will run without it). Now watch the minute hand. When it touches the number 10, start the counter. When it touches the 10 again, stop it. The recorded count will be the beats per hour needed.
You can leave the pendulum on and let it run for several hours if you want. Average the number of beats by the hours run. That would give you a very accurate BPH. The accuracy of the clock makes no difference for this test. It will be right regardless. :)

It's possible that the 77 is BPM, which would translate to 4620 BPH.

Thanks for the replies. Shutt I have the Time Trax 185, I don't believe I have that feature. I kind of wish I had that option though.
As for the 77 I thought that too but the 4620 would be too fast. Right now I'm at 4053 BPH and looking at it this morning it seems pretty close. A bit later I'm going to verify this with my atomic wall clock I use in my shop.

I probably should have counted the wheels when I overhauled it, my mistake:bang:
