I am working on the first Hammond clock I have ever worked on...and wouldn't you know, the coil is bad. I can go on line and buy a scrap Hammond clock, but I already have a number of Telechron coils that are good. I have a 60 and a 65 coil. Now, looking at them, they look about the same size as the coil in my Hammond Chancellor. I am not an electrical whiz, so can you folks who are good with electricity tell me....can I swap out the bad Hammond coil for a good Telechron coil? Thanks in advance!

Well, I wimped out on this and bought a parts clock for a good coil. Clock arrived, put the new-old coil in, and life is good. At some point though I plan to try this experiment!
