Hi,
I bought a lot of watches lately and in the lot was this very nice and clean Hamilton pocket watch. It's a grade 925, but on the movement it's enscribed ELITE. I was unable to find any info whatsoever on this identification. I cleaned it all up and it's running well, a bit fast but well. Could somebody help me to identify this watch? Here are a few pics.
Thanks

This 925 was sold in 1907 to jobber/wholesaler Wheeler& Co in New York. Wheeler bought several that day, how many were marked ELITE is not known. Jobbers sold to retailers, who had them marked as they wished by the factory. This watch might not have left the factory with this Hamilton Watch Co. dial. No way to know from the records. Maybe someone has encountered this name before, and can add some info.

I wonder if this provides any clue to the similarly marked "ELITE" watches made by Waltham, Elgin & Illinois? The Elgin and Waltham versions were notable for their two-tone damaskeening.

Jerry has made me curious!

Also-do the Hamilton DS full signature dials with a period signify something? Just asking, friends- I'm not at all sure...I seem to have a half memory floating around. :)
