I have an early 941 (43824) and it is running slow. I need to adjust the regulator. I have read that there is a screw that needs to be loosened and I am not sure of the one. I would appreciate some information before I make an attempt. I have adjusted the 992s and 950s. Thank you for any information.

i'd like to know where your read this..... as i believe is incorrect.

the micro adjustment screw on the side of the balance cock controls the adjustment, one direction for fast, one for slow.
as long as all the parts are there, it should work with no other screw involvement.

Thank you both for the great information. I see the screw and given it's a Hamilton, it makes sense. Somehow I missed that screw. I don't remember where I found the info on loosening a screw, but it was online. I was trying to avoid bothering anyone here. I should have just posted here first. Again, I thank you for the great resource this forum provides.

We are never bothered by questions. :) Thanks for asking.
Maybe someone else learned something too.
