Thanks to Larry C I've now reassembled this deck watch and it runs just fine. Within 2 sec in 24 hrs during its first run. Its previous owner said it was his father's watch whilst serving on HMS Quorn during WW2. Luckily his father had been transferred to another ship before HMS Quorn was sunk with great loss of life.

Nice watch Mike. Maybe you ought to document the provenance with the father to son and the connection to the ship. BTW, a lot of us depend on Larry C and with excellent results.

    Hi Paul

Yes, I shall document the provenance as you suggest. I'm not getting any younger, and with a number of health problems too it would be good for the next owner to know the history of this lovely watch. My job as I see it is to look after it until then.
