I am interested in studying the 2-tone gold and nickel damaskeened Hamilton grades 940 and 941.
There are two different 2-tone patterns that I have seen most often on the 940 and 941, but other different patterns also exist. Information on any of these watches is much appreciated and photos of any of the other different patterns would be terrific.
I will start this thread with pics of the two "main" patterns, and then will leave the next post as a place for photos of any different 2-tone patterns to be added later. The next post here will then be an ongoing database of movement information by serial number, and this will be expanded as data comes in.
Information I would like to add to this database is serial number, which type of 2-tone pattern the watch has, and the presence of any unusual or private-label movement markings. I think these are the basics that would be needed for the purpose of this thread, but of course any other info about the watch is also welcome.
Thanks!
Fred
