    Do the hairsprings for the 992B and the 950B interchange?

    The part numbers are the same but you have the different strengths depending on the adjustments.

    Thanks for moving this; was questioning where it would belong.

    I also got my hands on a copy of a vintage Marshall parts book and it too indicates that the hairspring, in fact the balance complete, will interchange between the two movements.

    Thanks to the others for their input.

    did either come in something other than 6 position adjusted?

    I would worry much about it. The factory just offered 3 strenghts, so you can adjust the meantime screws to get it the correct 18000BPH rate
