Hello,
This is a GB No. P42. I'm not understanding all the parts of this verge and pendulum leader. Can you adjust the beat with this or does it have different purpose?

The beat on that one is adjusted manually by moving the crutch left or right which allows the clutch to slip. More photos of the whole escapement would help us.
