• Upcoming updates
Over the next couple of weeks we will be performing software updates on the forum. These will be completed in small steps as we upgrade individual software addons. You might occasionally see a maintenance message that will last a few minutes at most.

If we anticipate an update will take more than a few minutes, we'll put up a notice with estimated time.

    Thank you!

Purchased this yesterday in Round Top, TX.

Thanks for help with IDing this!

SN is 6982 m (etched on back of face and handwritten on base of movement). Could be 8982 m?

movement is P112 with a 0 far to the right of that.
Here are pics!

Thanks!

Welcome to the board.

I don't think this is a serial number. The mark on the back of the dial looks more like a mark put on by a repairer some time in the past.

movement is P112
This is the pendulum length, not a movement or model number.

There are GB expert on this site who will probably be along with better information shortly.

Without a serial number on the back plate, all that can be used is the logo shape. From John Hubby's work, seems this logo was used in the 1913/1914-1934 timeframe.

Possibly to tighten the range a bit, John Hubby also indicates that " It appears that from 1926 until the Freiburg factory was closed at the end of 1932, the Braunau factory was used to assemble non-serial numbered clocks for GB."

As Royce said, your clock was made after the year 1932, not in Freiburg in Schlesien, but already in Schramberg factory by Junghans. In Braunau/Broumov branch chain weight driven floor clocks were not produced.
