Hi Never Wind enthusiasts, I've a double contact clock minus the contact pin and am about to attempt to make one so looked at old threads which are most helpful but I have a question, has anyone successfully made a contact pin with a glass end as in the original? I was about to attempt it but wondered if anyone out there has a method to replicate the glass insulator without resorting to modern materials. If it was possible in the early 1900's to lump a piece of glass on the end of a silver pin surely we have the skill to do it now?? Any thoughts or directions would be appreciated before I have a go.
Thanks. John
