Just unwrapped this wall clock. It stands about 5 feet high from bottom finial to the top finial on the pediment. It arrived with some of the ornaments having fallen off as well as some of the trim. Due to the age of the glue. Nothing broken but I have some case work and movement work to do before this one can hang on the wall. The back plate of the movement is marked with the numbers 64/83 and 69284. There is a circle on the back plate divided into three parts with the letters F on the top, M on the left side and S on the right side. Any ideas as to age and maker would be appreciated!

Jurgen,

Thank you, it is always interesting to me to have a date range for a clock. I remain in awe of the early clock makers who were able to develop and manufacture these marvels with out all the modern technology we have today. And yet today, with our modern technology, we still have difficulty getting them to work correctly (sometimes).
Doug

The pendulum leader restraint on your movement is the "Kielmann" patent DRP 55066 from 1890,
which gives you a "not before" dateline.
