Hello! I just received a GE model 2012 14" wall clock.

Can anyone tell me more about the history? I know these are very common, but I've had difficulty finding much information.
It seems some faces are glass and others plastic. Does that help date them? Produced 60s-70s? Thanks!

Looks almost brand new, like the simple clean design.
Yes, it's in beautiful condition. If it wasn't for the cord I would think it's NOS. It has the tiniest scratch on the glass face but very hard to detect.

I've seen people refer to the housing as bakelite. It doesn't *feel* like bakelite to me, from my experience. I would have called it plastic.
But I don't know if that varied too over the years or not.
