Hi have this where the end has broken of so can't fit the hands-on properly anymore
Shame everything else works fine is there any way of getting around that apart from buying a new movement
And to be honest, looking at the prices I could literally buy a whole clock for that
Have attached pics
Regards Mr a Holloway

impossible to make out anything ...

if the minute hand arbor is broken it can be repaired... but maybe it has an incorrect tension washer, or something else is going on... no way to know without seeing clear and in focus photos of the movement out of the case.

You'll probably need a donor movement of the same type. Or maybe a local clock guy could take a look at it for you.
Another idea, find a friend with a better camera and have them take a couple pics for you to post.

As noted by everyone else, it is impossible to tell for sure from your pictures what is going on. If I am correct, it looks like the shaft holding on the hands just broke off. That shaft would be rounded where the hour hand fits, but have squared shoulders to hold the minute hand and at the end would either be threaded for a nut to hold it all on or have a hole for a tapered pin. Other than finding a replacement movement, you might consider replacing the shaft in the same manner that one would replace a pivot on the end or an arbor. This would be more difficult, but not impossible. You would have to drill out the shaft, then find a rod that had the correct dimensions for your hands (would have to be squared off and the end threaded, or pierced to hold a pin, and the other end cut down on a lathe to fit into the hole you drilled into the shaft but leaving a round shoulder for the hour hand. You would need to solder the new piece into the hole in the shaft.
I am still a newbie at clock repair, but I have watched videos of the experts doing this pivot repair and it seems like that would be a viable option for you. If you can't do it, you might find a local shop that would be willing to try. It sounds complicated, and is something I would not try, but a good repair person with the right tools could get it done.
Do you still have the piece that broke off?
