Hi All, I’m working on this clock for a friend. It’s obvious that the numbers chapter ring was cut out and glued on to the brass backing. The brass backing is original to the movement. I’m soliciting ideas on how to make this look more original. The clock is a french figural mantel clock.

Oops. This one. It's the closest I could find from this supplier.

With that funky dial surround, I think those numerals look pretty good. Willie X

That parts looks good. Need to find one that is 3.5” OD. Good start.

I don't think a porcelain dial ring would look appropriate in this bezel, but that's just my opinion.

But it would help to see the whole case.
