Forestville clock with National Silver Co. movement

Hi,
I recently purchased a 400 day clock that has Forestville Clock Co, Made in Germany on the underside of the base. The movement is stamped The National Silver Co Germany and the #1471. I have been unable to identify the backplate in the 400 Day Clock book. Any help and history would be appreciated.

We will need to see good clear pictures of the back plate as well as the front of the clock...so we can see what you're seeing. In the repair guide, there is one plate that has "National Silver Co." on the back plate...it's #1469B. Does it also have the logo of two elephants around a clock?

I think Eric has it!! I didn't look for "THE" in the title!! Seems like it's #1559 in the repair guide and John Hubby's dating info suggests around 1930. The pendulum doesn't look correct...at least my SuP clocks don't have anything like that. And would there have been a guide cup on a base in the 1930 timeframe? I thought Kundo came out with it in 1933.

Yes! Now I see it too. I missed THE also. The 800 day book indicates circa 1912 but it also indicates Kieninger & Obergfell. Would the movement be S & P? I appreciate everyone’s help here.

Many of the dates for pre WWII clocks shown in the guide are suspect because the author(s) had trouble see enough publication and manufacturing info to get the best answer. The movement does appear to be S&P and John Hubby along with others have presented much information about mislabeling of movements in the repair guide. This plate is one of those. Didn't I read somewhere lately that these clocks were mis-identified as Kundo for decades until a researcher dug up information about Schelnker and Posner? When I got mine last year someone pointed that out to me.
