My understanding is that you might not see it as an administrator - but "greenie" is back. Looks exactly like before, same error number, etc. I captured the error if you want it.

There is still a problem with Advanced New Posts. I thought I had reinstalled it. It is disabled until I can figure it out.

Looks like your time estimate was pretty close. Where's that "thumbs up" emoticon when I need it?
Somehow, things I predict usually seem to take at least twice as long as I thought they would! And at least 6 times what the boss promised the customer. :bang:

Been wandering around a while now, made/edited a few posts. Nothing else has jumped out at me so far.

I found and fixed the advanced new post problem. It was an obscure cockpit error on my part coupled with some unsafe code on the part of the developer.

    The feature is working now.

Looks good. I was editing my last post while you were typing yours. FYI: The screen DID refresh properly when I hit my back button, and showed me that I needed to go look at this thread again, since I hadn't read your post. Goto first unread button took me straight to YOUR post, and that button wasn't even there when I entered the thread to edit my own post - I had to scroll down to it. I did NOT have to manually refresh the screen.

I went through my regular routine this morning and didn't discover any problems whatsoever. Everything seems correct and very responsive. Thanks

There are still loose ends but the software seems to be mostly under control.

The new version of PHP causes a lot of warning messages which I have disabled to get rid of some of the disply problems reported today.

I had to throw in the towel on the Encyclopedia and have hired the vendor to do that upgrade. That will extend the process by a few days.

I will leave the lime on black message in place but update it to reflect current status as often as I can.

You should be able to turn the PHP back to (native 5.3) and still have protection in cpanel.

Once all your upgrades are done, raise it one level at a time.

Thanks Tom and also to all the people standing next to you. You just answered my question about when the encyclopedia might be up again. No rush. Believe me I understand about software updates and the customizations we make (I administer the college's primary ERP system).

There should be an Icon called "PHP Version" on the front page.

There seem to be a few missing posts in this thread. Were they intentionally deleted without comment? Or is the updated software somehow losing threads?
I do see some changes elsewhere on the MB that are related to the subject of the missing posts. And those posts might have been a little off topic for this thread. Just curious.

I suspected that, but with the recent upgrades & problems, I wanted to be sure. Looks like the correct choice to me. Thanks.
