• Upcoming updates
Over the next couple of weeks we will be performing software updates on the forum. These will be completed in small steps as we upgrade individual software addons. You might occasionally see a maintenance message that will last a few minutes at most.

If we anticipate an update will take more than a few minutes, we'll put up a notice with estimated time.

    Thank you!

Hey Mike, He was serious. Look at where the dial feet are located on the back and compare that to the minute numbers on the front. Swiss dials usually have two feet. US dials generally have three feet. although some have four, and I have seen some Seth Thomas dials with two feet. In Meggers & Ehrhart book, they have a nice, complete listing of dial feet arrangements to compare where your dial might fit. If you wish, I'll show you at the Chap 37 meeting on Feb 4. Tom

Ok Guys, as close as I can get, here goes...
The 3 footed dial is 5, 25, 39
The 2 Footed one is 8, 38
Hope I got it right
I used the Ehrhardt, Meggers, "Railroad Watches" Book, page 179 to measure.
Sorry, I never bothered with smelly feet before

Mike ,
I looked in American Pocket Watches Beginning To End 1830-1990 by Earhardt & Meggers ( The Gold Book) and couldn't find any 0 size dials that match your American three footed dial. There is a 12 size that comes close. As far as the Swiss one I don't know of any source that lists them. Some collectors who want to use dials on other watches use dial dots. I really don't like the practice. There are many dial collectors though who just display the dial and let it speak for itself. A collection of fancy dials could be very cool!
