Hi y'all! Long story short found a United clock Corp clock in a storage unit boss and I won at auction. Not sure if it is legit or not due to the pictures online of similar clocks that are electric. The we all possess has a key and winds up like an old time pocket watch. I done seen a modern screw in the wind let knob and had my doubts. Any insight appreciated. I think it's fake but ain't no expert. First time posting anything so be gentle please lol. First pic isa electric one and sorry about the pics quality.....

legit how? it's a pocket watch inspired eight-day wind up wall clock. i don't think anyone would counterfeit one... think they just made a model they thought would sell.

i don't know the united clock company... but the old 'use google to search the MB' trick offers this: united clock company site:mb.nawcc.org

    Welcome to the board.

Yes, it's a novelty clock made to look like a pocket watch, as Bruce says.

UCC was a company which made a range of novelty clocks, this was one of them. The screrw you mention may or may not be a replacement - it looks as if it is slightly too big and the head sits a little 'proud', but that may be the camera angle.

Like Bruce, I don't know what you mean by 'legit', but it's a spring-driven wall-clock made by UCC and that's about it. I think it's quite decorative.

Fantastisch! Thank y'all for the quick response. I tried finding one online that was wind up but no dice. Of restored is it best to leave it to experts or should be sold "as is" Danke. Oh yeah found another potentially vintage clock. Thanks again.

Sell it 'as is'. The cost of professional overhaul would likely be more than the clock is worth.

Hi, and welcome, Hokiefan. It appears that you have posted pictures from 2 different clocks - the first picture appears to be an electric clock by United while the remainder are a wind up clock (possibly model 576?), also by United. From online auction pictures, it looks like they made several of the pocket watch models.
