I have a chance to buy some disc pendulum 400 day clocks, a couple are Beckers. What's a fair price to pay for Beckers & non-Beckers if they're in good to very good condition with matching pendulums? I haven't seen them yet, but want to be somewhat prepared. Thanks, Mark

We cant discuss values here. A fair price i think is what they sell for, so i would check past sales on Ebay.

Yes we can Kevin, that is what this forum was set up for. I would expect to pay between $200 and $350 for a standard Beck. Obviously, special models will be priced much higher.

I agree with Peter's price range for a Becker in "ticking" order and reasonable condition. If the clock is an early model with matching pendulum (1902 to 1904) they will go for another $50 more or less. Clocks that have been polished and are running well bring the higher price.

The following make disc pendulum clocks with standard discs go for about $125 to $250 if they are 1905 or later: JUF, Hauck, Kienzle.

Lantern pinion clocks with disc pendulums go for $100 to $200, except the Becker model which will get same price or maybe higher than a standard Becker.

W. Würth clocks go for equal or higher prices than Beckers, especially early ones with their standard disc pendulum.

Huber and JUF made 1896 to 1903 are in the range of $200 to $400, with pendulum No. 21.

NOTE these prices are ONLY for standard glass dome disc pendulum models with brass base and NO extra features. Clocks with temperature compensating pendulums, fancy cases, fancy dials, etc all need to be evaluated on a model by model and feature by feature basis.
