eTimer Question

I'm trying to evaluate eTimer's free version by converting the sound of my watch from Quicktime M4a to a wave file, but for whatever reason when I select the file from eTimer the audio playback seems to play at about 1 Hz instead of 5 Hz. Consequently, eTimer does not represent the expected parameters. What am I doing wrong?

My first thought is that my sample conversion rate may be wrong, but I'm not sure.

Hi Marv,

The sample rates in the .wav file and the eTimer profile have to match, do you know what rate Quicktime is creating?

Regards,

Graham

No, but I'll figure this out or use another capture program.

What sample rate do I need?

Why don't you ask the maker of e-timer? He should know what parameters his program needs!

Hi Marv,

What sample rate do I need?
You can set the eTimer sample rate in the profile panel, but you need to know what the rate is from your input .wav file. Frank's suggestion to contact Graham Baxter at Delph Electronics is sensible, he's a very helpful guy.

I found the adjustments. Something on my converter must be off by a factor of two.

When I set the converter to output a wave file at 48 kHz, I have to set the eTimer input to 96 kHz. I'll figure it out later.

Not only sample rate, also mono/stereo and 8/16 bit must match.
