I picked up what I assume is some sort of store demonstrator for Eterna. But, what is it supposed to demonstrate?

The Eterna Sonic used the ESA9162 movement, which has a tuning fork shaped a lot like that demonstrator, with weights above and below the foot. This fork shape is superior to the Accutron's because it eliminates the inherent positional dependence (difference between tines-up and tines-down rates, which on an Accutron is about ±4.5s/d)

I imagine this is to demonstrate that difference to a customer, but I wonder how exactly...

Awesome! thanks! I have always loved the old Eterna's marketing. They also made some cool pocket demonstrators of see-through working movements!

I have seen a few of the Eterna tuning fork watches. They were really nice looking and well made.
Havn't seen one lately.
