All things, I suspect it is Chinese or other oriental, but only a look at the movement will prove me right or wrong.

I think it might be a Owari but the wife has the final say If it's a keeper.

Can,t say i have seen a Asian movement with these stops. My Owari clock has the stamp on the movement, i would think yours would have it too.

The style of the verge retainer and the metal discs between the mainsprings and the great wheels do suggest Japanese or possibly other oriental origin, as does the American style of the movement. There appears to be a logo stamped just to the left of the time side winding arbor, but I can't make it out. I might not recognize it in any event.
