Erie Wall Clock

I found this Erie wall clock at a Yard sale Saturday. I am a novice with old clocks and almost passed on it as I "thought" it had second hand. I figured out it was a day calander and gave it a shot. I wound it and it has been keeping perfect time since Saturday. Day calander works correctly as well. Any information on this clock would be appreciated....thanks....Doug

When you say Erie, do you mean the name of the clock or the place of manufacture/offer? This model is, I think. the Meridian made for the Lovell Manufacturing Co. in Erie Pennsylvania. There was also one called the Standard made for Charles F. Adams of Erie, PA. In other words, is there any label or part of a label?

You're probably correct Steven. I can see what looks like a good label in one of the photos. Just need to know what it says.............

Looking again, Richard, I see the label and that this is probably the Meridian. A search on the message board for Meridian will bring up a ferw threads, I believe.

thanks guys....you are spot on. It is a Meridian made by Lovell. Any idea when it was made. I appreciate any information.......thanks...Doug

It's most likely an eight day clock, but cannot say with certainty without a look at the movement.

It has Ingraham's 8-day time only movement. I've never seen a 30-hour T/O by Ingraham.
