Can anyone provide information on an English clockmaker named Robinson from Demsbury? I have a tall case clock with unmarked 8 day time strike movement from the early 1800's with a painted metal dial signed Robinson Demsbury.

hello cant find a demsbury i think it should be dewsbury in yorkshire ..spelling was very often faulty in those days ..there are quite a few robinsons but none for that area...but this could be so ass there are many provicial clockmakers that are not recorded..hope this helps ..regards ray
