Interesting piece and am lacking some reference material on Wm. Buchan of Dundee. Also could not find info on the SB logo on the case. I thought maybe South Birimgham but not sure. I thought the repair labels in the case might be of interest.

Loomes has a William Buchan in Stonehaven (50 miles north of Dundee) c.1820. It is quite possible that he moved to Stonehaven from Dundee after this watch was made.

The hallmarks are for London 1806 Sterling silver and SB is the casemaker Samuel Brooks who at that time worked at Rosomon Street, Clerkenwell, London. It seems a little surprising to find a Scottish watch in a London case, but it may be that Buchan was a retailer and that the watch was made in London.

1806 seems a good date for the watch. The piercing of the balance cock looks especially fine. Great watch papers! :D
