I need help.

I just picked up a very nice Eli Terry & Sons Pillar & Scroll for next to nothing, but I have several questions. First of all, the rear legs are just a hair shorter than the front which causes the clock to lean slightly back. Is this normal? It looks like the legs are original and there are no signs of being cut, my guess is that it was done by Terry to keep the clock from falling over.

Second, can anyone tell me the year this clock may have been made?, I mean the years that Terry and Sons made clocks. I have read that they started under this name about 1818. Thanks all!

Tymekppr:rolleyes:

My information has them from 1823-1831 under Eli Terry and Sons.

Hello Tymekppr,

You would receive better answers to your questions, if you posted your request it on "Wood Movement message board" and include photographs of the clock and the label.

I will move to the Wood Movement forum, but I would also like to see some pictures, which could help us answer your questions.
