how do i find information about an Elgin wrist watch with a case back stamped with the numbers 6934

The best I can do is to say that it appears to have been made by a French company called Jeambrun. I have to admit that I have never heard of the company. The logo beneath the balance is the tipoff. The trademark guide at the front of the Bestfit catalogs showed their "JlJ" mark.
Maybe the 26D?
