I would like to get an idea of the potential value of this Elgin 12S Pocket Watch which is in excellent condition.
Serial number 26224919 and registered on pocketwatchdatabase.com
I have just serviced and polished it and it runs like a dream.

I can see the typical values for a standard model but I am interested whether the wrist conversion adds or detracts from its value i.e. making it a rarity?

While beautiful, unfortunately ladies size watches do not command much of a premium, especially a 7 jewel, 0 size that had over 900,000 produced. The value will be the gold in the gold filled case, probably under $100. Just my opinion.

Hi Richie, so I can't retire quite yet then!
Thankfully I have found a web based outlet in the UK that I am using for re-sale and Ladies PW's can be sold for quite a premium....
If it's not got any additional value due to the conversion I will sell on as I don't collect Ladies watches for keeps

You know, probably if you had the wrist band you might get a little more but ladies wrists a hundred years ago were much smaller and most of the bands don't fit todays women.
