I tend to collect pocket watches but while searching on Ebay for "Lord Elgin" I ran across an Elgin that is market "Lord Elgin" then below that 25 jewels above the center post and below the center post "self winding". It is marked "Swiss" it has a 10K rgp case and is also marked "waterproof". The case is a more typical style round case that Elgin produced in the 50's but in this case I would think the movement is more late 50's early 60's and probably made prior to Elgin going defunt ~1964. This is definitely not a cheapo "Wally World" Elgin but I am curious what movement number it might be because most documentation stops in the later 7XX series.

I have one of these, but I can't tell what the movement is because I can not get the back off to see. I can not tell for sure if it's a snap back or a one-piece case. It's sealed up tighter than a bank safe.
